President Kurt Okraku, Vice President Mark Addo paid a visit to Leicester City duo as they recover from injury

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku and his able Vice, Mr Mark Addo paid a visit to Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and his teammate Jordan Ayew at the East Midland.

This visit shows Ghana FA leadership’s commitment to supporting the active national teams players who plays in abroad.

Both Jordan and Fatawu sustained injuries while in action for the Black Stars in the recently concluded 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan which eventually saw them missed the final group game against Niger held at the Accra Sports Stadium, where Ghana succumbed to a 2-1 defeat.

Issahaku is currently undergoing rehabilitation after being ruled out of the season with a cruciate knee injury. He will also miss Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar in March next year.

Meanwhile, Jordan Ayew has returned to full fitness and rejoined Leicester City after recovering from an injury sustained during Ghana’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola on November 16, 2024.
