Asante Kotoko SC have officially unveiled a newly constituted Board of Directors following approval from the club’s Owner and Life Patron,
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
A statement issued from Manhyia Palace on Friday, February 27, confirmed that the Asantehene has restructured the club’s governing body as part of efforts to strengthen leadership at the Kumasi-based side.
The new board will be chaired by Mr. James Osei Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Joshob Construction. He will be supported by Mr. Kwasi Osei Ofori, CEO of Rocksure, who takes up the role of Vice-Chairman. Also named on the board is Mr. Kofi Amoa-Abban, Founder and CEO of Rigworld Group.
According to the communication from Manhyia, the newly appointed directors are to immediately assume their statutory oversight functions.
However, day-to-day administrative duties will remain in the hands of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) until the conclusion of the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season.
The Chief of Staff at Manhyia, Mr. Kofi Badu, chaired a meeting to formally introduce the board members to the IMC, urging both bodies to collaborate effectively to ensure continuity and stability during the transition period.
Speaking at the engagement, Board Chairman Mr. Osei Brown pledged the directors’ commitment to repositioning Kotoko among the elite clubs on the continent and encouraged the current management team to intensify their efforts as the campaign progresses.

IMC Chairman Nana Akwasi Awuah Apinkrah, on behalf of his team, welcomed the new leadership and assured them of full cooperation as the club navigates the remainder of the season.
