Samuel Boadu to Aduana FC Confirmed

Aduana Stars have officially named Samuel Boadu as their new head coach as the club begins preparations for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.

The Dormaa-based outfit confirmed the appointment in a statement, handing the experienced tactician the responsibility of leading the club back into contention for major honours after a disappointing campaign.

Boadu joins Aduana Stars following the expiration of his contract with Berekum Chelsea, where he guided the club to an eighth-place finish in the recently concluded league season.

His arrival brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in Ghanaian football. The 39-year-old remains one of the most decorated coaches in the domestic game, having famously guided Hearts of Oak to a Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup double in 2021.

The former Hearts coach also gained international experience during a spell with Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic, where he served as an assistant coach before returning to Ghana in early 2025.

Aduana Stars ended the 2025/26 campaign in ninth place after collecting 52 points from 34 matches, falling short of expectations in their quest to challenge for the title.

Club officials believe Boadu’s tactical expertise, attacking philosophy and winning mentality can help restore the Fire Club’s status among the country’s elite teams.

His appointment also sees him become only the second Ghana Premier League-winning coach to take charge of Aduana Stars, following veteran tactician Paa Kwesi Fabian.

With the new season on the horizon, attention will now turn to player recruitment and squad rebuilding as Boadu looks to shape a team capable of competing for trophies once again.
