Member of Parliament for Ketu North and President of Nukunu FC, Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, has praised Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, describing his journey from the Ghana Premier League to the national team as a source of inspiration for young footballers.
According to Agbana, Asare’s remarkable rise has become a regular example he uses to motivate players at Nukunu FC, reminding them that dedication and perseverance can transform careers.

Asare’s career has been one of patience and determination. After years of consistently impressing in the Ghana Premier League, the goalkeeper earned a move to Hearts of Oak, where his outstanding performances established him as one of the country’s finest shot-stoppers.
His club form was rewarded with a maiden Black Stars call-up, and he quickly became an important figure for Ghana, producing a series of impressive displays on the international stage.
Agbana believes Asare’s success proves that local players can reach the highest level if they remain committed to their development, adding that his story should serve as motivation for every aspiring footballer in Ghana’s domestic league.
