James Osei Brown meets HRM Togbe Afede as Kotoko, Hearts seek closer ties

Asante Kotoko have announced that Executive Board Chairman James Osei Brown has paid a courtesy visit to Hearts of Oak Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV, as the two football giants seek to strengthen relations away from the pitch.

According to an official statement released by the Porcupine Warriors, the visit served as a formal introduction between the two club leaders and provided an opportunity to discuss areas of collaboration that could benefit both institutions and Ghanaian football.

“The visit marked a formal introduction between the two leaders and featured productive discussions on fostering a strategic off-the-field partnership aimed at promoting mutual growth, strengthening Ghana football, and creating value for both clubs,” Asante Kotoko said in a statement.

Despite sharing one of African football’s fiercest rivalries, both clubs are committed to working together on initiatives that extend beyond competition, with a focus on advancing the development and commercial growth of the game in Ghana.

“While the rivalry remains fiercely competitive on the pitch, there is shared commitment to working together on initiatives that will benefit the clubs and Ghana football as a whole,” the club added.
