Hearts of Oak defender Ransford Mensah has warned Vision FC that the Phobians are determined to avoid another defeat when the sides meet in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.
Hearts suffered a 1-0 loss in their previous encounter with Vision, but Mensah says the team is approaching this weekend’s fixture with a strong desire to reverse that result.
“Yeah, they defeated us the last time, but it’s not going to happen again. We are very ready for this game because we went there last time and they defeated us 1-0,” Mensah told Hearts TV.
The defender’s confidence comes after Hearts returned to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 victory over Port City in Matchweek Six. Frank Abora Duku scored the decisive goal in the 20th minute to secure maximum points for the Accra-based club.
That result moved the Phobians to second place on the league table with 11 points from six matches, giving them added motivation ahead of a challenging away fixture.
Hearts will travel to the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex to face Vision FC on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 pm. Mensah and his teammates will be hoping to turn their confidence into another positive result and strengthen their position among the league leaders.
