Accra Hearts of Oak have reached an agreement with former Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Olele Kingston to become the club’s new goalkeepers coach ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The former Ghana international, is set to join the Phobians technical team after all negotiations between both parties were successfully concluded. His appointment is expected to be announced officially in the coming days.
Kingston arrives with a wealth of experience, having enjoyed an illustrious playing career for both club and country. The former shot-stopper represented Ghana at two FIFA World Cups and several Africa Cup of Nations tournaments before later serving as the Black Stars goalkeepers coach, where he played a key role in the development of the national team’s goalkeeping department.
His addition forms part of Hearts of Oak’s restructuring ahead of the new campaign, with the club strengthening its technical setup as preparations intensify for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
