Medeama bolster attack with return of Emmanuel Fobi from Europe

Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have continued their busy transfer window by completing the signing of striker Emmanuel Fobi from Georgian top-flight side FC Dila Gori.

The Tarkwa-based club confirmed on Friday that the Ghanaian forward has signed a three-year contract, becoming the latest addition to Ibrahim Tanko’s squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

“Medeama Sporting Club is delighted to announce the signing of Emmanuel Fobi on a three-year contract from Georgian top-flight side FC Dila Gori,” the club announced.

Fobi returns to Ghana after gaining valuable experience in European football, where he featured for FC Dila Gori and enjoyed productive loan spells that aided his development.

One of his standout spells came with Tkibuli Meshakhte, where he scored four goals in 29 appearances and helped the club secure promotion before returning to continue his progress in Georgia.

Known for his pace, physical presence and direct attacking style, the striker is expected to provide another attacking dimension as Medeama prepare to defend their Ghana Premier League title while competing in the CAF Champions League.

Fobi becomes another key addition to the Mauve and Yellow squad as the champions continue to strengthen every department in their quest for domestic success and a strong run on the continental stage.
