Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season after completing the signing of promising midfielder Emmanuel Anokye from Sporting Club Accra.
The Tarkwa-based club confirmed the deal on Friday, announcing that the youngster has signed a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.
“Medeama Sporting Club have completed the signing of midfielder Emmanuel Anokye from Sporting Club Accra on a three-year contract that will keep him in Mauve and Yellow until 2029,” the club announced.
Anokye becomes the latest addition to Ibrahim Tanko’s squad as the reigning league champions continue to reinforce ahead of their domestic title defence and CAF Champions League campaign.
Capable of operating in midfield and on the left flank, the youngster is expected to provide greater versatility, pace and creativity as Medeama prepare for a demanding season on multiple fronts.
The new signing has already linked up with the squad and has been included in the club’s pre-season travelling contingent, where he will have the opportunity to impress the technical team before the new campaign begins.
Anokye joins a growing list of new arrivals at Medeama as the club continues to reshape its squad with the ambition of retaining the Ghana Premier League title while making a strong impact in Africa.
