Medeama SC to hold three-week pre-season camp in Abidjan

Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have confirmed that their three-week pre-season training camp will be held at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, as preparations intensify for the 2026/27 campaign.

The Mauve and Yellow had earlier announced plans to travel to Côte d’Ivoire for an intensive pre-season programme as they gear up for the defence of their Ghana Premier League title and their return to the CAF Champions League. The confirmation of the venue now provides further clarity on the club’s preparations.

The camp at the renowned sports complex in Abidjan is expected to focus on fitness, tactical organisation and team cohesion under head coach Ibrahim Tanko, while also allowing the club’s new signings to integrate with the squad ahead of the new season.

Medeama are also expected to engage in a number of high-quality friendly matches during the camp as part of efforts to fine-tune the team before the start of the domestic campaign and their continental assignments.

The Tarkwa-based club will be hoping the extended stay in Côte d’Ivoire provides the ideal environment to prepare for another demanding season, with ambitions of retaining the Ghana Premier League title and making a strong impression in Africa’s premier club competition.
